🐾 Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are you by appointment only?
Yes — all grooming services are by appointment only to ensure each dog gets one-on-one attention in a calm, stress-free environment.
2. Do you accept all breeds and ages?
Absolutely! We welcome all breeds and ages, from tiny puppies to senior dogs.
3. Do dogs need to be up to date on vaccines?
Yes — for the safety of all pets, dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. If your dog cannot receive vaccines due to a medical condition, we require a vet’s note documenting the exemption.
4. Can you work with dogs who don’t enjoy grooming?
Yes — we have experience with nervous or grooming-averse dogs. However, pet parents should understand it may take multiple sessions to build comfort. Our priority is your dog’s well-being, so sometimes “comfortable over beautiful” is the safest choice.
5. Do you offer creative grooming or dye jobs?
Yes! We provide pet-safe creative grooming, including dye jobs, stencils, and themed styles. These are by special request and may require advance booking.
6. Do you offer afternoon appointments?
Yes — but they must be booked by call or text only at 409-988-8707.
7. How often should my dog be groomed?
Most dogs benefit from grooming every 4–8 weeks depending on breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Regular grooming helps keep skin and coat healthy. Remember each dog is different so ask your groomer what your dog needs.
8. What products do you use?
We use the highest quality products currently on the market for dog salons.
9. How long does grooming take?
Most grooms take 1.5 to 3 hours, depending on the dog’s size, coat condition, and behavior. We’ll give you an estimated time at drop-off and text you when your dog is ready.
10. What if my dog is matted?
If your dog’s coat is matted, we may need to do a shorter clip for their comfort and safety. De-matting is done only if it can be done without causing stress or pain.
11. Do you offer add-on services?
Yes — we have several upgrades avaliable. These include long lasting nail wraps, nail polish, bows/ bowties that hook on dog’s collar, bling collars, airbrushing, and more.
12. Can I stay with my dog during grooming?
No — we ask that pet parents do not stay during grooming, as it can make some dogs more anxious. If your dog needs you present, this must be arranged with your groomer
