Service Agreement & Salon Policies

By scheduling an appointment with The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa, you agree to the following terms and policies. These policies are in place to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet, client, and groomer.

General Grooming Policies

Pets are accepted for grooming only under the following conditions:

  • Pets must be fit and healthy. Grooming elderly, senior, or infirm pets is performed at the owner’s risk. Grooming may expose pre-existing medical or skin conditions, for which The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa cannot be held liable.

  • Pets must have an up-to-date rabies vaccination, as required by law, unless otherwise discussed and approved.

  • In the event of an emergency and in the owner’s absence, you authorize The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa to contact the nearest veterinarian and approve treatment as necessary at the owner’s expense.

  • Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash and credit cards. Declined cards will incur a $20 processing fee.

  • Pricing is based on breed, size, coat condition, behavior, and time required.

  • Nail trimming and ear cleaning are included unless the process becomes too stressful for the pet or unsafe for the groomer.

  • De-matting or complete coat removal may significantly change your pet’s appearance and may expose skin conditions, hematomas, or irritation. The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa is not liable for these outcomes.

  • Appointments must be confirmed by text before 7:00 AM on the day of your appointment. Failure to confirm by that time will result in automatic cancellation.

1. Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy

  • All dogs must be dropped off at their scheduled appointment time.

  • Appointments may be canceled if the client does not arrive or communicate within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.

  • If a client arrives early, the dog may be placed in a kennel or playpen until their appointment begins.

  • Once the “Your pup is ready” text or call is sent, clients have up to one hour to pick up their dog.

  • If a dog remains at the facility beyond one hour, the groomer will contact the owner again. After receiving an ETA, a late pick-up fee of $10 per every 30 minutes may be applied.

  • The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa is not a doggie daycare or boarding facility.

  • Early drop-offs or late pick-ups must be arranged in advance with your groomer.

2. Cancellations

  • A 24-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment to avoid being charged the full grooming fee.

  • In cases of inclement weather, family emergencies, or uncontrollable circumstances, the groomer may waive the fee at their discretion.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any appointment if necessary. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a convenient time.

3. No-Shows

  • A “no-show” occurs when the client does not arrive for their scheduled appointment and does not communicate with the groomer.

  • Groomers will wait up to 15 minutes before marking an appointment as a no-show unless otherwise communicated.

  • We reserve the right to charge the full grooming fee for no-shows due to loss of revenue.

  • For mobile appointments, if the groomer arrives and waits at least 10 minutes with no response, the appointment may be marked as a no-show—even if it is before the scheduled time.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason.

4. Aggressive or High-Anxiety Pets

  • Dogs displaying aggressive or high-anxiety behaviors (growling, snapping, biting, excessive fear, etc.) may be denied service.

  • If grooming proceeds, additional fees may apply.

  • In some cases, grooming will be completed for comfort and cleanliness rather than perfection.

  • Owners are responsible for the full grooming fee, even if the groom is not completed.

  • Groomers reserve the right to use muzzles or grooming assistants when necessary for safety.

5. Puppies & First-Time Grooms

  • Puppies and first-time grooms may require extra time and/or additional fees.

  • Due to inexperience, puppies may experience minor nicks, scratches, or quicking despite careful handling.

  • Our team will make every effort to ensure a safe and positive first grooming experience.

  • Groomers reserve the right to stop or deny grooming if the pet becomes unsafe.

  • Owners are responsible for the full grooming fee, even if the groom is not completed.

6. Photos & Videos

  • By using our services, owners grant The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa permission to use photos and videos taken during grooming for advertising, marketing, social media, and decoration.

  • No compensation will be provided for media use.

7. Owner Presence Policy

  • For safety and focus, pet parents are not allowed to stay inside the salon during grooming.

  • Owner presence can cause distraction, anxiety, or over-excitement in pets.

  • Groomers will call or text when your dog is ready for pick-up.

  • Repeatedly entering the salon during grooming may cause the groom to be stopped, and the full grooming fee will still apply.

By booking an appointment with The Dapper Dog Luxury Pet Spa, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to all policies listed above.
